Radio today is done commercially or by the state. Studentradion 98.9 is an exception, and with over 100 contributors and 28 years of experience, we feel like we know what we’re doing. Our station offers a surprising blend of honest insight and open perspectives, everything from the modest to the grandiose. Studentradion 98.9 has it all. 

So, every time you turn on your radio, start with 98.9 FM. Studentradion 98.9 always surprises (at least weekdays between 1 – 8 pm on the FM bandwidth and our extra broadcast between 8 – 9 pm on the web). You can listen to us 24/7 at www.studentradion.com, and even listen to our past shows in the archives.

According to Studentradion 98,9’s latest market study, 41% of Uppsala University’s students have listened to our station. Our website receives more than 2,000 visits every week. From Monday to Friday between 1 and 9 pm, Studentradion 98.9 broadcasts programs with the smartest news and society, the most hilarious humor, the best in culture and entertainment, and even the most hoppin’ music shows. Every hour on the hour we give you the latest news that concerns us students.

When we’re not broadcasting the most interesting shows the airwaves have to offer, Studentradion 98,9 plays the best new music on the web between the hours of 9 pm and 1 pm.

Interested in broadcasting? Join a readily existing program or start an entirely new one.

Step by Step:

-Contact us . Come check out our station in the basement of Ekonomikum. Talk to some of the students who work here. We’re really cool!
-Educate yourself. Starting in Spring 2012, Studentradion 98.9 will be offering a course in radio broadcasting in English along with the Swedish one. Note: this course is mandatory to be a broadcaster with Studentradion 98.9.
-Join in or start something new. Come up with a program idea and send it by our editors and Program Manager .

No prior experience necessary.
